Yet another pic that started out as a biro sketch while incredibly bored. I have to say she came out remarkably well first time around and I was hard put to re-create the image even with a simple pencil trace job. Since I wanted to keep a little of that rough edged quality to her I decided to leave the line art as pencil rather than photoshopping it, which has made it look a lot less synthetic I feel, which I like. I also decided to take a few shortcuts with the shading, and lo and behold I really like the way it came out, especially the hair. It just goes to show that arduous work is not a great mother of invention! Anyway, I'm really happy with the way this merging of an almost cyber-punk sci-fi feel and some 1930s elegance came out.
